AREA DESCRIPTION
Whether you know them as the Western Isles or the Outer Hebrides, you can discover the beautiful sandy beaches, ancient Standing Stones or dramatic scenery of the Islands from the comfortable base of Ceol Na Mara (Song of the sea).
The Western Isles are one of the most beautiful locations for a break.
With a variety of rolling backgrounds and some of the most amazing views there are few comparable places to captivate the senses and the imagination.
Due to the Western Isles proximity to the Gulf Stream we get some of the mildest winters imaginable as well as some of the most awe inspiring.
Ceol Na Mara is situated approx 5 miles outside of Stornoway overlooking the sea. Stornoway is the main town on the Isle of Lewis and provides all modern conveniences such as supermarkets, restaurants, car hire, takeaways and entertainment.
Stornoway is easily accessed via air or ferry travel from mainland Scotland.

The Callanish Stones are over 20 monuments erected approx 4000 years ago. At their heart is a circle of 13 stones between 8 and 13 feet tall, surrounding the tallest stone on the site, 16 feet high and weighing in at about 5.5 tonnes.
